Falls & Balance Program

Supporting safety, confidence, & independence at home

Falls are a common concern as we age and can have a significant impact on confidence, independence, and quality of life. Even without a serious injury, the fear of falling can lead people to reduce activity, which may increase weakness and fall risks over time.

Our Falls and Balance Program is designed to reduce the risk of falls by improving strength, balance, and walking confidence, while also addressing practical factors in the home that affect safety. All therapy is delivered in the comfort of home, where everyday movement and real life challenges occur.

What is a Falls & Balance Program?

A Falls and Balance Program focuses on understanding why someone may be unsteady and providing targeted, practical support to reduce risk of falls.

At Best Physiotherapy, this includes:

  • Identifying individual balance and mobility challenges
  • Improving strength and stability needed for daily tasks
  • Supporting safer walking and movement at home
  • Addressing environmental and equipment-related risks
  • Building confidence with everyday movement

Each participant receives an individualised exercise program, along with a simple and safe home program to complete independently between sessions.
