NDIS Physiotherapy

Supporting mobility, independence, and everyday life

NDIS Physiotherapy supports people living with disability to maintain or improve movement, function, and independence in everyday life. When delivered well, physiotherapy helps participants build physical capacity, reduce barriers to participation, and feel more confident at home and in the community.

At Best Physiotherapy, our NDIS Physiotherapy services are delivered in the home or a familiar environment. We focus on practical, meaningful outcomes that support safety, confidence, and day-to-day function. We take the time to understand what matters most to the participant and their family, and we work within the NDIS framework to provide care that is clear, appropriate, and aligned with plan goals.

How NDIS Physiotherapy can support you

Physiotherapy under the NDIS focuses on building capacity and supporting long-term participation, rather than short-term treatment alone.

Our NDIS Physiotherapy commonly supports:

  • Improving mobility and walking confidence
  • Building strength, endurance, and balance
  • Reducing pain and physical discomfort
  • Supporting transfers and daily activities
  • Improving safety and reducing falls risk
  • Maintaining function and preventing decline
  • Supporting community access and participation

Therapy is always adapted to the individual’s current abilities and progresses at a pace that feels safe, realistic, and achievable.

    How we deliver NDIS Physiotherapy

We work closely with participants, families, support coordinators, and plan managers to ensure physiotherapy is delivered clearly and appropriately within NDIS guidelines.

    Our process includes:

We begin with an in-home assessment and goal discussion.

Clear alignment with NDIS goals and funding categories.

    Developing an individualised physiotherapy plan.

Regular in-home or community-based therapy sessions begins.

    Progress reviews and outcome reporting.

Ongoing communication with the wider support team.

Our aim is to make the process straightforward and transparent, so families feel confident about how supports are being delivered and why.

    Additional support we also offer

For some participants, physical progress can be limited by factors such as reduced confidence, disrupted routines, anxiety, low motivation, or social withdrawal.

Where appropriate, we also offer an optional structured psycho-social well-being program, delivered alongside or in addition to physiotherapy. This program focuses on areas such as routine, confidence, emotional regulation, physical activity, and community engagement.

This support is introduced thoughtfully and only when it is likely to add genuine value for the participant and their family. Physiotherapy always remains the primary focus unless agreed otherwise.
